Erin L. Groce

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At the age of 18, I enlisted in the United States Air Force where I served as an Aerospace Physiologist Specialist. After fulfilling my enlistment, I was honorably discharged and moved to Texas in 1999 to continue my education.

I used my military experience as a civilian working for United Space Alliance, where I traded working with U-2 pilots for astronauts. While working full-time, at night I attended the University of Houston – Clear Lake as a full-time student, earning my bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I attended OCU Law, and upon graduation, I knew my practice would be focused in family law.

I opened a successful private family law practice in Houston, Texas, until 2015 before we moved to Kerrville, Texas in 2016. Upon my move, I worked in San Antonio and surrounding counties representing clients in all areas of family law.

In August 2022, I decided it was time to again open a private practice where I focus on the cases that mean the most to my and give my clients the attention they need and deserve. I knew the best place to open a practice is in the heart of the Hill Country – my home base of Kerrville, Texas where I give clients effective and quality representation.

I have committed myself to representing individuals going through some of the toughest and most emotional times in their lives. I am passionate about representing my clients and am equally effective negotiating an amicable resolution as your zealous advocate.

I have been named Top Lawyer in San Antonio Scene every year since moving to the San Antonio area and continue to be recognized for my representation of my clients. I have also been recognized for my pro bono work, specifically representing active duty military and veterans and assisting in running pro bono clinics helping veterans with their legal needs.

When I am not representing clients, I continue to help parties resolve their conflicts as a certified family law mediator. I went through the required training to become a certified mediator and have a straightforward approach assisting parties to reach an agreement outside of the courtroom.

Outside of the Law -

In my free time, I spend much of my time with my husband, Len, and son, Everett. Me and my family are also active in the local community and enjoy being outdoors as much as possible. My hobbies include adopting too many dogs, reading, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends at the family ranch with a good glass of wine.
